The Haskell County Hospital Foundation is proud to announce a generous donation to fund critical power backup during weather emergencies.
The funding comes from Intersect the developer, owner and operator of two of the county’s energy projects, IP Quantum I and IP Quantum II. Michelle Stevens, CEO of Haskell Memorial Hospital, said the funding strengthens access to a secure hub for health and safety in Haskell County.
“This contribution reflects our shared commitment to community resilience,” Stevens said. “By equipping our Education Building with a generator, we’re ensuring that both the hospital and the broader community have a reliable, safe space to turn to when severe weather strikes. We are deeply grateful to Intersect for investing in the wellbeing of our neighbors.”
Intersect continues to demonstrate its dedication to the local community. Through this partnership, the company is helping the Haskell County Hospital Foundation fulfill its mission of promoting the health and wellbeing of Haskell County residents.
Shaye Marshall, Community Engagement Lead at Intersect, said “Supporting Haskell Memorial Hospital with this investment is part of our broader commitment to our neighbors. We’re proud to stand alongside the Foundation and hospital team in ensuring Haskell County is better prepared for weather-related crisis.”
Mary Belle Olson, chief operations officer of Haskell County Hospital District, said, “This donation will have an immediate and lasting impact. The Education Building is not only a space for learning and training, but also a place where we can come together as a community in times of need.”
