Responses to help guide future decision-making
Haskell Memorial Hospital is seeking broad community input on its services, facilities, and operations and soliciting recommendations for future improvements and investments. Members of the community are invited to provide their feedback via an online survey available through Nov. 7.
“We want to hear from as many members of our community as possible, even if they’re not current patients of our hospital or clinic,” said Michelle Stevens, CEO, Haskell Memorial Hospital. “Haskell Memorial Hospital is everyone’s hospital, and this citizens’ survey is intended to harvest broad perspectives so that we can do more for more of our community.”
The citizens’ survey follows a similar survey of community leaders conducted earlier this year. Questions focus on the community’s awareness of, satisfaction with, and expectations for the hospital.
Both surveys are elements of a larger, ongoing initiative, HealthConnect, through which the hospital is working with a third-party research and strategic planning organization to strengthen the connection between Haskell Memorial Hospital and the larger community.
“Haskell Memorial Hospital has served our community since 1939, and we have added services and programs as our region has grown,” said Stevens. “With community feedback, we can continue that growth, guided by what our community needs and values.”
The citizens’ survey is open until Nov. 7, and every community member is invited to participate. Responses are anonymous and will be aggregated to help Haskell Memorial Hospital identify areas of opportunity for greater community engagement and investment.
HealthConnect works with rural Texas hospitals to strengthen their operations and resilience to ensure they can continue to serve their communities through a vibrant and robust healthcare delivery system. The initiative is supported with grant funding from Texas Mutual Insurance Company.
