Employee Spotlight: Erica Botcher, PA

At Haskell Memorial Hospital, great care starts with dedicated clinicians who are committed to their patients and their community. Erica Botcher, Physician Assistant, is one of those clinicians.

Erica serves patients in both the Emergency Department and the inpatient floor, helping ensure that individuals who come through the hospital’s doors receive timely, attentive care. Her role places her on the front lines of patient care, where quick assessments, teamwork, and clinical expertise make a meaningful difference.

Before joining the team, Erica completed a clinical rotation in Haskell and quickly saw something special about the hospital and the community.

“I was a student out here in Haskell, and I loved the people and the community,” Erica said. “It’s a tight-knit place where everyone communicates well and works together. When they offered me a job after my clinical rotation, it didn’t take any thought at all. I accepted it.”

Working in a rural hospital means being prepared for a wide range of medical situations. Erica and her colleagues maintain advanced training and rely on strong collaboration to stabilize and treat patients locally whenever possible.

“There is a harmony here,” Erica explained. “Providers in the clinic work closely with the emergency department, and we’re often the same providers caring for patients from the moment they come into the ER through their time on the floor until discharge.”

That level of coordination helps ensure patients receive consistent, high-quality care without unnecessary travel.

What stands out most about Erica is her dedication to the people she serves.

“Erica goes above and beyond with making sure the patients are taken care of, and that does not go unnoticed. Getting Employee of the Month shows that and it is well deserved,” said Michelle Stevens, CEO, Haskell Memorial Hospital.

We’re proud to recognize Erica Botcher, PA, for the care, commitment, and teamwork she brings to patients and colleagues every day.
