September Employee Spotlight: Cassie Smith, CNA

Title: September Employee Spotlight: Cassie Smith, CNA

Every great hospital is built on the strength, heart, and compassion of its team — and few embody that better than Cassie Smith, CNA, Haskell Memorial Hospital’s September Healthcare Hero of the Month.

Cassie has been a Certified Nursing Assistant for 17 years, serving since 2023 at Haskell Memorial Hospital, where she’s made a lasting impression on both patients and coworkers.

“Cassie’s dedication to patient care is above and beyond,” said Meghan Shelton, RN, chief nursing officer. She treats each individual with kindness, respect, and genuine compassion. She brings a calm, positive presence to every shift and is always willing to support her coworkers. Her professionalism, experience, and strong work ethic make her a vital part of our team and a well-deserved HERO of the Month.”

Cassie’s approach to care reflects what makes Haskell Memorial Hospital special, where patients are treated like family, and teamwork defines every day. Whether helping a patient through recovery, providing comfort in a difficult moment, or lending a hand to a coworker, Cassie leads with empathy and quiet strength.

At Haskell Memorial Hospital, CNAs like Cassie are at the core of compassionate, quality care. Their daily work ensures patients receive not only medical attention but also the human connection that helps healing happen.

Cassie’s dedication and compassion remind us that extraordinary care often begins with small, meaningful moments — a kind word, a steady hand, or the willingness to go the extra mile.

Haskell Memorial Hospital is proud to recognize Cassie Smith as this month’s Healthcare Hero and celebrate the incredible contributions of all CNAs who make our hospital such a special place to work and heal.
