Haskell Memorial Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging team. Part-time, full-time, and PRN schedules are available.
The Radiologic Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures while providing safe, accurate, and compassionate care to patients. C-arm experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
- Current certification and licensure required to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in Texas
- C-arm experience preferred
- Knowledge of radiographic procedures, equipment, positioning, and radiation safety
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain accurate patient records
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills
- Ability to work effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team
- Willingness to work the schedule and on-call hours required for the position
Job Duties
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures according to physician orders and established protocols
- Position patients and operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Assist with C-arm procedures as needed
- Verify patient information and explain procedures to patients
- Follow radiation safety and infection prevention standards
- Evaluate images for quality and accuracy before submitting them for interpretation
- Document procedures and maintain complete patient records
- Prepare and maintain imaging rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Communicate effectively with providers and other members of the care team
- Provide courteous, compassionate care to patients of all ages
