Jeanne Cason, FNP will retire from Haskell Rural Health Clinic effective March 31, 2026, concluding more than a decade of dedicated service to patients and families in Haskell County.
During this transition period, Cason will continue seeing patients for acute and sick visits only, allowing time for patients to establish ongoing primary care with other providers at the clinic.
“For more than 10 years, Jeanne has been a trusted provider and a steady presence for our community,” said Michelle Stevens, MHA, CRHCP, CEO, Haskell Memorial Hospital. “She has touched the lives of so many in our community with her commitment to patient care and to our clinic, and we are deeply grateful for her years of service. We wish her the very best in her retirement.”
Cason’s patients are encouraged to establish a primary care relationship with Kelby Johnson, FNP, or Amy Pennington, FNP, both of whom provide annual wellness exams and check-ups, back-to-school and sports physicals, chronic disease management, routine care, and sick visits for children and adults. Patients who transition their primary care may still see Cason for acute illness needs through the end of March.
In addition, David Shahbodaghi, M.D., will begin seeing patients at Haskell Rural Health Clinic in May 2026. Dr. Shahbodaghi is board-certified in family medicine and previously worked in Haskell Memorial Hospital’s emergency department. Following the completion of his U.S. Army Reserve assignment at Fort Bliss, he will relocate to the Haskell area with his wife and three children.
“Dr. Shahbodaghi understands rural healthcare and has a genuine commitment to our community,” Stevens added. “We are excited to welcome him and his family back to Haskell County and look forward to expanding access to primary care locally.”
